Although we have cruised before we have not traveled with HAL. We will be going to the Med. in May. Do HAL cruises have port talks or lectures to familiarize passengers with upcoming stops? If not, who do you contact on board to ask specific questions? Guidebooks are great, but are rarely up to date. It is so difficult to get information via the internet when on board. We try to have as much information as possible before we board, but things always come up that require clarification.

Thanks for any help.

We were on Noordam's 20 day Med cruise last summer and there were lectures on all the ports. They were held in the showroom, but if you missed them, they were repeated on TV in your room later in the day or evening. The lecturer also was near the area where you disembarked each day for last minute questions. There were lectures on the history and culture of each port as well as practical information - public transportation, taxi stands train info as well as approximate costs for getting around on your own.

That is exactly what I hoped to learn. Thank you so much.
