Voyager is about to begin her [possibly last] World Cruise. We love to 'travel along'. Is anyone doing a blog?

I haven't even heard of anyone who is booked, yet. I mean, I'm sure there are lots of people booked, LOL, but I haven't seen any threads here about it.

We are on the Sydney-Beijing segment. I suspect there will be some major changes to the east coast Australia itinerary, specifically Brisbane, due to the terrible floods in Queensland at the moment and their aftermath.

Yes, you are correct the floods here in Brisbane and South East Qld are shocking (words cannot explain) but the Voyager doesnt dock here for another month and a half or so.
The clean up effort will be swift and very effective. We Queenslanders will not let this get to us. When you sail up the Brisbane River on Feb 25 you will all be saying "What Flood"

Glad to hear from you, grapejuice. We see pictures on the TV news regularly. It is a main news story here and, as you say, they are shocking. The people interviewed are stoical, not a word I would usually associate with Aussies and I am sure you are right about the clean up.
Good luck, mate.

We were on the Voyager yesterday during its stop in San Diego enroute to San Francisco for the start of the 2011 World Cruise. It was great to see some of the staff and friends from our 2010 and 2007 WCs. No word yet on any itinerary changes in Australia...though I find it difficult to imagine that there won't be any.
However there have already been some itinerary changes due to the cancellation of the visit to Myanmar. Don't have the specific details, but understand that Regent has added a couple additional stops in Sri Lanka and a visit to eastern India.
The Voyager looks in great shape. All of the furniture on the pool deck -- tables, chairs and loungers -- has once again been changed out (at least since last January's WC).
I heard that there are about 100 folks going all the way around to Southampton with another 140 or so going as far as Rome (which counts for WC perks).

I don't doubt the Queenslander spirit for one second but the scale of this catastrophe is such that the aftermath will take a long time to recover from. I wish all my fellow Aussies in Queensland all the strength and resiliance in the world. I know you will pull through but it's going to be a tough challenge for a while. God bless you all.

Has anyone found a blog for the world cruise yet? The only one I have is Jamie Logan's. Would like to have a few more to follow.

Yes its great to hear of the different segments of the WC. All good so far.
Hello Kevin and Susan / Jan and Fred (anyone would think you were all on vacation and to busy enjoying yourselves to post)
Txladycruiser - you are joining soon in Auckland. Do you think you could swim out early and meet them halfway (dont mind the sharks they are harmless) and remind them about all of us back home eagerly awaiting their different seafaring tales/ pictures etc. Much appreciated.

Yes, sea days are sooo busy that we can't find time to post---actually the internet has been so slow that it is difficult to keep a connection for very long.
Today we are in Moorea, French Polynesia. The internet is fast this morning so we took advantage and took care of some business and posting on our blog. Beautiful blue skies, blue water and a green island. We are going Dolphin watching in early afternoon.

we are ..on the leg of this cruise from Dubai to Rome......VERY disappointed..........no 'FREE' hotel, also no "free" upgraid to business ..
Why did they pick this one to eliminate the goodies???? I usually don't complain on cruise critic, but think that this is really a raw deal..
