Good question....I'll be on that cruise, too!

We're on the 4/16/05 sailing of the Zui and that sailing is not among those listed as impacted by the change. I checked HAL's web site today and double-checked the itinerary for that cruise and it shows no changes.

Hal runs its clocks on the time zone that you are in on any given day-- the Z-dam will start on EDT then go to Carrib time soon after--unless you know what Isl's on what time it's hard to tell. My guess is that the islands don't do daylight time, hence EDT for whole trip!!

Hi
I meant more in the way of the St thomas docking - I heard on this board that beginning in April they are leaving st thomas earlier..

I believe the shortened time change starts April 23-at least for the Zuiderdam. I know because we are on that sailing.

At first I was upset because St. Thomas was shortened from 11 pm to 6pm, but after reading all the debate @#$^ I came to the conclusion that it probably worked out for the best.

My main reason is that most of the seasoned cruisers agreed that St. Thomas is not safe at nite! and the stores all close up at 5 pm and there isn't much to do.

I thought I could play all day at St. Johns and shop in St. Thomas at nite. Not to be. Now we will try to do both but definately have a shortened time at both.
