??? About kobe

I board the Volendam on May 2nd. We will have traveled from Kyoto and visited the Kiyomizu-dera Temple before we get to the pier.

Does anyone have experience or know how much time this will all take and if I will have time to do any site seeing in Kobe....and if so....what is close and easy to get to.

I enjoy museums and cultural events and a bit of shopping!

I believe the Train from Kyoto to Kobe is approx. 45 minutes. I do not know what is in the area of the port to visit. The ship leaves port at Midnight so you should have time to look around before boarding.

Remember the time frame you are in Japan is "Golden Week" and is a national Holiday so a lot of locals will also be traveling and sight seeing.
