7065: THe adjacent glass elevator gives a full view of 4/5 of your verandah

6156: your verandah is open to the decks above, including the Lido aft deck.

7065: your much closer to the Neptune Lounge

6156 likely has a larger verandah, but unless you'll frequently be entertaining a dozen or so friends thast shouldn't make a difference.

I understand that the aft S suites are somewhat smaller square footage than the others, but they do have huge balonies. I believe that 6156 is designated as a handicapped suite if that makes a difference either way. Here's a link to Oosterdam deck plans (http://leisure.travelocity.com/Vacations/Cruise/Ship/DeckPlans/0,2443,TRAVELOCITY_169_1180_,00.html). You may also want to search the HAL forum entering 6156 OR 7065 to see relative posts show up. Since I have personally never stayed in anything better than SS, I'd take either one! Whatever you decide.... Enjoy!

If 6156 is a handicapped suite, then you will not have a tub in your bathroom.

We stayed in aft suite 7133 on our last trip on the Westerdam (same layout). The room is considerably smaller than the side suites near the Neptune Lounge. However, the balcony was magnificent. I believe 6156 is not a corner suite. You still have a large balcony, but it is unshaded all day long.

IMHO I would choose 7065. You won't have privacy, but the balcony will be covered and you'll have lots more space and you'll have a tub (which I would check on before reserving).

Funny that those two staterooms were the only two S suites left for our upcoming 2/26/ Oosterdam cruise (as of last night). I noticed this morning that they were both gone. Are you trying to book the 2/26 cruise and have them both held?
We decided to go with the SS because we didn't like the other choices. It is 297 sq ft.

The following are your staterooms and the sq footage. Notice that the suite next to the elevator is larger. Your balcony will be smaller, however. In opinion, I would rather have someone going up in an elevator get a glimpse of me then have someone looking down on me all the time from the aft (or look up from below.) Been there - done that and didn't like it.

We had 7053 on the Zui and it was fabulous. I liked having the tub and shower, especially that you could pull the clothes line across the tub and hang your wet swimsuits. We were close to the Neptune and it made grabbing a quick cup of coffee in the morning a breeze. Also, if needed something from the Concierge, it was just a quick step across the hall. Our balcony was huge, imo.

And a handicapped-accessible suite will not have the new pillowtop mattresses.
Those are too high for a person with mobility problems.
The beds are very low in handicapped-accessible rooms.

We were in 7053, Rotterdam deck on the "O" 10/24/04. What a wonderful suite. They had just put in the new bedding. Like sleeping on a cloud. We loved our balcony and especially the fact that no one above could see down as in the aft suite balconies. The balcony was large enough for a table and 4 chairs, two large lounge type chairs with ottoman's with a table between with still enough room to roam.

We liked it so much we just booked the "O" for 12/3/05 Mexican Riviera cabin 7049. Whichever you chose you can't lose with HAL...... IMO...

Since neither of us can be out in the sun for long periods of time, we choose cabins mid ship on the Vista class.

Had 7054 on the Oosterdam - loved it.

Had 7053 on the Westerdam - loved it - even though in rough seas we did hear a lot of dishes breaking in the Neptune Lounge and it's adjoining kitchen.
