day/pool activities?

This will be our first HAL cruise, we've been on Princess twice before and Carnival once. ARe the daily activities/evening shows similar? Music at the pool? Dance lessons, that sort of thing?

There are daily activities on HAL, but not to the extent that you would see on Carnival. There are no belly flop contests or some of that stuff.

There is music by the pool, dance lessons, culinary art sessions (very nice) and the 'usual' stuff. hope this helps a bit :)

I have a friend who sails all the time on Princess and we compared notes not to long ago. Princess does have more activities than HAL.

I have noticed in the last year with the cut back of cruise director's staff -- there has been some cut backs in the activities as well even though HAL now had the Dj helping out more with some of the activities.
