Darn it all to heck, I just composed a real funny answer to that ambulance chaser. Went to post it and the thread had been pulled. If I had gotten off the air a few minutes earlier and posted... Ah, well; such is life.
DESCRIPTION OF ILLNESS: Too much chocolate on the Chocolate Extravaganza Dessert night. But it was worth it. Gained about five pounds.
DO YOU HAVE Video tape of your cruise: Oh, yes! Videotaped the whole display before they opened it up for eating. I salivate every time I play it back. Every single cake, in great detail.
Do you have photos from your cruise: My better half has some of me with a mouth full of chocolate eclair and a large slice of chocolate cake in my hand.

Just one more missed opportunity, Tom. I mean, as I remember it you could have been the next Clark Gable if you'd been in the right place. At the right time. Without all that chocolate on your face!

Take one night off from cruising the boards and something happens to prompt a reply mentioning chocolate? And it gets pulled? And that starts a new thread?
Well? Please do tell! Inquiring minds want to know. :D

What appeared to be an ambulance chaser had a questionnaire asking people who got sick on the Vdam to fill in the form and e-mail it to (I guess) him. The thread got pulled. Meanwhile, I had just come back from my radio shift and was preparing a snappy reply that would stand forever in the Comedy Hall of Fame, if such existed, when the thread was pulled. So I posted it anyway.
I had changed the tone from NLV to Chocolate Night, kind of making fun of this person.

An ambulance chaser? Was a lawyer seriously soliciting business on this board?

If a lawyer was soliciting business, I'll sue! :D
RuchC, you should be in 'Vegas this weekend. A casino is staging a chocolate extravaganza. Lots of vendors with demos and samples! (Eat your heart out!)

Jim, it's not that busy at work; I can leave right now. :)
Will you be putting me up, or will Lisa? :D
(She probably hasn't even seen this thread and all of a sudden might have a houseguest! )

"Chocolate is something you have and affair with". Oh, Jim! I love that line.
Shame on us for hijacking tom's thread, but thanks for the link (and the invitation.;) )

shipcafe --
Someone posted a form asking detailed info for what dates people were on the Vdam, did they get sick, etc, did they have photos. The person said they were collecting info on the incident. I was going to play along with it, fill in all the blanks, but have it be that I overindulged on Dessert Extravaganza Night and gained too much weight from being such a pig.
It sounded like a request for business...

Lawyers who chase ambulances do not like to be called "ambulance chasers".
It is kind of like the "Tinkers" not wanting to be called Tinkers. They want to be called "Irish Travelers" Though they are not the people of Irish ansestry that travel on the HAL ships.
