I notice that the website no longer mentions a 60 day limit on how long you can book a shore excursion before the cruise. The 10-day limit as the cruise approaches is still there.

So, can we now book more than 60 days ahead? Has anybody tried? I know some threads have mentioned booking HMC cabanas way ahead, but I thought that may be a special case.

I booked 2 shore excursions on-line more than 60 days before takeoff. It was easy.

I don't want a Cabana
I don't want to work
I just want to sit in the sun all day

We booked all our shore excursions online about 85 days ahead of sailing. :)

I got an email after I made an interim payment (didn't want that final total all in one shot) inviting me to book my shore excursions. That was at about 110 days out.

I found it humorous to get the same email the day after I made final payment. Maybe payment of more than a deposit unlocks the shore excursion box.?

Interesting. We're 88 days out and it still says nothing is available at this time and to check back later.

I booked a couple of excursions on 11/24/04 for my 4/9/05 cruise on the Volendam.

We're not cruising until Aug 10th, but I already made our shore excursions online. Also, we've only paid our deposit, not the full fare yet.

Just remember that your credit card will be charged immediately for the shore excursions. You may want to wait.

That's a great way to spread out the budgeting! Book a couple of shore excursions---wait for and pay the bill. Repeat as needed. Seems less painful that way.

I like it! :D

The only negative with booking shore excursions now is that they are not all available yet. I am on the 6/4 Zui... and have paid my deposit and can access booking the shore excursions. But for example, the horseback ride and water trax rides are not being booked yet. Luckily I know they are coming. However you may book something and then something better comes along (then you can always rebook)..
