Kind of nervous about how accomodating HAL is....
Yesterday, we booked a last minute cruise (2/26 on the Zaandam). We added on the roundtrip transfers from Orlando to Port Canaveral at $50 each. Today, a Floridian friend offered us a ride so I tried to cancel the shuttle. My agent said that Holland said no. I was kind of surprised since we just booked yesterday. Oh well...won't let it spoil things since we are VERY excited about this trip. It just made me a little concerned about how accomodating HAL was.

This close to the cruise date it could very well have been the bus operatior, not HAL, that said no (the bus lines are sub-contracted by HAL). We've always found the line to be most accomodating to our requests.

Was your air booked thru HAL as well? I'm kind of surprised by this. Our friends just book Zaandam for 03/12/05 and had transfers added automatically (even though we live 45 minutes from the port). She had no problem having the transfers removed, but obviously she didn't have air booked either.

I booked our air fare myself. I asked the travel agent to have the shuttle transfers added on.
Oh well...I guess this way we'll meet some of our fellow cruisers on the shuttle to Port Canaveral!!

I never use the shuttles. I find a cab goes when (and if) I want to. No waiting for others, no 20 people and their luggage in the same van. The cost is very similar.

The transfer is not added on. If you book air thru HAL (Fly/Cruise), the the transfers are included. There's no separate charge for a transfer add on.
