View Full Version : Small Frig In Cabins On Vista Class

Last year I sailed on the Oosterdam, verandah cabin I had a small frig in the cabin. Nowhere can I find a frig mentioned in cabin descriptions other than in the suites. Does anyone know if there is still a frig in the verandah cabins. Just booked 3/4/06 sailing on the Noordam and find no mention of a frig.

There was one in our cabin on the Westerdam...I doubt they would have pulled them out of the O.

They are, however, refered to as "Self Service Mini Bars". They are full of items which you will be charged for if you consume. We just asked our cabin steward to clear it out so that we could use it for our own items and it was done with no problem.

What is the "frig" you are referring to?

I thought that was a replacement for a bad word, as in "big frigging deal".

I believe she meant "fridge," a common appelation for refrigerator.

Yes I did mean fridge didn't realize until I reread the original and then I had a good chuckle, and yes it is called a small mini bar. On the Coral Princess it had been empty and then it really resembles a small refrigerator

We cruised on the Zuiderdam last summer and I'm having a hard time remembering how much space in in the small frig. We'll be on the Westerdam In March and if we ask the steward to remove the items would there be enough room for a couple bottles of wine and a few other items?

Sure. We fit a btl of wine without removing anything.
