While I understand the many pleasures of having a Retreat Cabana ;), I haven't read if they provide a "better" sea view. Can you thoroughly enjoy the scenery on a sea day from your Cabana lounges?

Or is the rail on an upper deck the place to be for the best views?

What is the 'better' or 'best' sea view? :)

It is an upper deck with railings and looks out over the sea and/or ship; not unlike being an any other deck.

Thanks Peter! I'm just trying to decide if we should TRY to get a Retreat Cabana for our sea days on the Eurodam (I know they are usually fully booked, but I'm undecided about whether we should even attempt to get one for a day or so).

I know that we will want more than anything to enjoy the scenery (cruising in the Baltics and North Sea). But if the view from the Retreat Cabana is awesome, then we will definitely want one!

IMO the view from there is not that special.

We don't book cabanas, but here is the view from the Silk Den looking toward the cabanas. If you had one of the center cabanas, you would have a similar ocean view, but the closer you were to one corner, or in a side cabana, the better view you would have on that one side.

In nice weather try the aft Lido Deck for expansive views. In not-so-nice weather (which this part of the world does have in the summer), head for Promenade Deck, where it's covered.

Thanks to you both. I don't think a Cabana is a good choice for us.

Great advice Ruth. Thank you!
