Oosterdam has docked in a VERY rainy San Diego! Here's picture just taken of the cruise ship terminal.
UGH... We San Diegians are NOT used to this rain....enough already!:(

On the other hand, a dark, dreary day might make it easier to debark and head for the airport. No last urges to stretch out on deck one more time....:)

I have to agree Dave, if it was beautiful and warm I would hate to get off the ship. Tom (my DH) was so glad to get home last night from San Diego. It was very rainy here in Vegas yesterday but today looks a bit promising. It is now sunny and the skys are starting to clear.
Welcome Home to those arriving home this weekend!!!

Yes, I guess it is easier to depart from ship if it's ugly and wet...BUT I leave NEXT Saturday and weathermen say ANOTHER storm is coming....yuck!!!
I hope I can sail away with no rain...on that big aft veranda....
As I said, we San Diegians have had enough rain....not in our climate description. (OK, so we're spoiled with our usual weather here.)

Hi all! First post but I have been "cruising" these boards for the last three months. Great information and I have enjoyed "meeting" new people I wouldn't have had a chance to meet otherwise. I'm addicted already.
Rain in San Diego and sun here in Seattle. Yikes! What is going on. We leave Feb 19th on the Odam out of San Deigo so lets hope it gets it out of it's system. I have had bad vacation weather luck so far this year. Last month it rained most of the days we were in Maui. No rain at home in Seattle but everywhere else.
One week and counting. Rain, Rain, go away........

This storm is coming up from the South so I imagine the weather was not too hot on this last cruise. We drove by the O this morning. Quite gray and drippy but in the 60's! Beats "one inch of snow every hour" like in Maine.

Well, yeah, but it's hard to find a rainbow off the Baja peninsula! :)

Unlike snow, wind and water do not have to be shoveled out of one's driveway or sidewalk! I'll take a few rainy days any time! Welcome home y'all!

Snow is not always bad, but there sure can be times, LOL! :)

Welcome to the board, midgecruiser! We look forward to getting to "know" you. You'll find lots of folks here with the answers you need to cruising questions. I've learned so much from the expertise shared here, and I know you will, too.
Welcome home Greg and Vic. Looking forward to your pics and videos.

Lisa a Big Welcome Home to Your DH !!!!!:)
Ziggy, Thanks so much, it was a great Welcome Home. As I had commented a few weeks ago our son had a car accident with his Dad's Camry, the night I went to go pic up our cruise docs. Well, the insruance company claimed it a Total Loss this week so yesterday our son brought him down to where I work (at a Toyota Dealership) and he spent the afternoon driving many cars and trucks and ended up driving home in a new 2005 Tundra 4 door P/U, so that made for a nice Welcome Home gift and Valentine's Day gift.

From a Camry to a Tundra  ...you sure must have had great insurance! :D
My DH surprised me with a brand new Toyota Sequoia for Christmas. Toyota's are great cars!
My DD had a Camry from the time she started driving until the night of her 18th birthday. She was hit head on and survived the crash with just a couple of airbag burns. That poor car had already been involved in several other car accidents (only one of which was her fault) but it finally gave up the ghost with the head-on. We tried to get DD to buy another one, but she instead went with a VW Jetta. Many problems with that car. :(

Hi gang!
I have to say, this was a GREAT cruise!!
Everything on board exceeded my expectations, and I felt really at home with everyones hospitality. The captain and hotel manager
are excellent hosts, and I can't wait to sail with them again.
And thanks to revneal for twisting my arm to do this!
It was great hanging around with the Rev, and we shared many thoughts on this ship, and other issues.
I have a lot of things to catch up on, so I'll be starting a post later tonite. Thanks to everyones hearty welcome home!

Writing your review takes precedence over reading other threads and anything you might do at home - leave that for the cabin steward to clean up!

I tried stuffing him in my bag, but he kept screaming "I need air!"

I'll be posting a review within the next 48 hours. Working on it how.

Hey VIC and REV NEAL.
Glad you had a good cruise. Sorry you had to come back in the rain but then "into every life a little rain must fall." Welcome back to Terra Firma!

Welcome home to Vic and Revneal. I hope you had a wonderful cruise. I will cruise on the Odam this Saturday and look forward to your review. As stated, you had a great cruise and I've never experienced anything less will HAL. I can't wait!! Give me more......
Vegas Jim, Thanks for the welcome! Yea! I love these boards. I have learned so much about each ship, ports of call, beaches, excursions and on borad life which we all know but crave and live vicariously until our own next cruise. We are then expected to share as much as possible with those who are waiting for thier next cruise. I get it and love it. Thanks for the welcome.
Dave, Thanks for your last review. That was the most recent review before my up coming cruise on the Odam this weekend and lived vicariously through these last few weeks. Thanks.
