Did anyone see the topic in the Carnival message board about the Queen Mary's transatlantic crossing? One of the passengers set up their camera and caught a really big wave.
The post is by cruisingator2. I couldn't access the link but I followed the directions from mohavemommy further down the posts and it worked.

Thanks, it is worth checking out. Talk about timing with the camera. Must have been a rough ride!

flyfan,
Thanks for the link. My in-laws are really interested in cruising on the QM2. I've been sending them everything I find on these boards.
They live in York and that is where me and my husband grew up. What area do you live? My in-laws live in Springettsbury Township. My brother-in-law is a supervisor there. I've seen your posts before and wondered what part of York you were from.

Fly, I actually dreamt that the big wave came and the ship capsized. In the dream I actually handled it quite well. I was in the cabin alone, saw the wave coming, the ship turned on it's side and I reached for my clothes in anticipation of clawing my way to the top. Do you have any more pictures to make my cruising anticipation more enjoyable. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

BT, you sure know how to handle a scary situation. Now if that were me I'd be swimming in my jammies.
But remember, I was on Galaxy when we took a real big "lean". I almost fell out of bed, stuff crashed everywhere & the people on the low decks looked out their window and saw nothing but water. We never did find out what really happened. The good news though, Susan's hair never moved!

It will take more than a large wave to move Susan's hair. Perhaps it would have been different on the QM2 last week though? There was an interesting article in todays Telegraph, with a write up about this trip. Apparently QM2 sailed through not one but two force 10 storms on her way and rode them very well.

Hey Everybody!
I'm dying to see this clip and I couldn't open it on my PC at home and I even tried on my MAC at work. Can anyone help me out!? I'd love to see this. I'm not computer illiterate, but it doesn't seem to work for me! Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Hi Cruisin Around
I am not too techy! I have tried the link again and it does work. This is to another forum with another link to the video. Do you get as far as the other forum? It does take a while to load the page, so be patient. If you get to that second page and the video doesn't load, it may be because you don't have Windows Media Player installed. Here is a link for that:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.aspx?displaylang=en
Hope you get it to work. Well worth seeing!
