I read in the new Princess European book that if you are in a suite you are given free internet access for the duration of the cruise. Does any one know if HAL offers suite passengers free internet access?

Thats news to me. I sort of wish they did. But then, I would end up spending part of my cruise "working". I guess I'm glad its expensive.

No.....HAL does not provide free Internet access to Suites. I sure do wish they did though.

Princess supplies free internet access to both suites and to anyone cruising who is a platinum cruiser or above -- that is a sweet perk
HAL should consider it

That is, indeed, nice but in fairness to HAL, I think it only fair to point out that HAL really does offer Suite pax of nice amenities.
The Neptune Lounge is fabulous and we truly enjoy it. I know that when we were last on Princess (which is probably the last time we will be on Princess), they offered absolutely nothing to us.....we were back to back in the largest Suite. I guess it was their equivalent to HAL's penthouse. We didn't get so much as a tender pass.
Among other things, we enjoy included laundry and dry cleaning, tender passes, priority boarding and disembarkation, Suite cocktail party Welcome Aboard, suite lunch, depending upon length of cruise there may be a suite dinner. It is always nice to find a welcome aboard bottle of wine or champagne in our Suite compliments of the Captain and Hotel Manager. Concierge Service is very nice. There is more but this gets my message across, I hope.

Sorry about your bad Suite experience on Princess. We sailed the Golden in a VS Suite in December and were offered very nice extra ammenities (except that they do not have a special lounge like Holland or RCL). We had flowers, champagne, stocked no charge mini bar, corsages, priority tenders and disembarkation, free laundry, free internet; just to name a few! Not sure why you didn't receive these perks. Next time, I'd double check with your room steward if you feel you are missing something.
The Golden was the best cruise so far. (we've booked Zuiderdam S suite for this December). I can't wait for December to arrive!

I had a totally different experience in a Princess suite last summer. My wife and I received a complimentary glass of champagne when we arrived at our suite. We had the lowest suite (VS). I loved the free internet. There was no lounge, but you could get afternoon high tea in your suiite, afternoon snacks (cold or hot) could be ordered, laundry and dry cleaning, and 2 nights special desserts awaiting us upon our return from dinner. We also received invitations to art auctions and a free piece of artwork.

Princess just started including all the perks for suite passengers about a year ago. They just about match the perks that HAL offers to their suite passengers. They do include a free stocked mini-bar (first time only) that HAL does not include as well as the free internet access. The mini-bar and internet perks have been in place for a long time.

Glad to hear they have learned........:) perhaps from HAL?
The last time we cruised with Princess is probably the last time we shall cruise with Princess. I don't like to ever say never but it there would have to be a very special reason for us to even consider returning.
We have about 6 cruises with Princess; well over 40 with HAL.
