Westerdam SA Suite ?

I went to the HAL website looking to book a Pacific Coastal 4 night cruise for this September. SA, SB, and SC were listed for $749.00 so I want to book, but it said for all of these categories I would have a guarantee suite to be assigned later. What does this mean? Is this a good price? The highest category I have been in is an SS or SY. I forget which it was. I am excited to try this type of suite with Neptune lounge privileges. Do the same perks apply on a 4 nt as a 7 nt cruise in these categories? DH would be with me on this cruise for my 60th birthday.

the reason that you can only book a guarantee is because hal is still waiting to see how many of those will be booked by people taking taking the entire repositioning cruise from ft lauderdale to seattle AND there will also be some people who will take the cruise from ft lauderdale to san diego

we have done the entire repositioning cruise on the westerdam a couple of times -- there were quite a few people who got off the ship in san diego

yes -- if you get a deluxe suite you will get all the suite perks including the neptune lounge

Thank you for the help. I called my TA yesterday, Friday. I haven't heard back from her yet. I don't know if she can match HAL's price. I get free travel insurance with her. While on the coastal cruise in Sept. 2011, I want to book W. Carib. on Ryndam departing from Tampa March 18, 2012. Dave's two week "live" thread aboard Ryndam inspired me to do the same itinerary that he is doing.

we did dave's itinerary in october -- with only a little hipcup from hurricane paula

we have sailed quite a bit on the ryndam -- you will love her
