Following an upsell, we're excitedly trying to roughly plan our week on the Eurodam. We don't want to miss any of the fun events like the suite welcome and farewell parties. Does anyone know which days and times they would be scheduled? Also, what time does the PG open for breakfast? Oh, and when is the Mariner Brunch? Thanks for your help.

Suite Welcome all five of our Eurodam cruises was 7:15 in Neptune Lounge. Pre-dinner cocktails for late diners and after dinner drinks for those with early dining.
Suite Farewell party is terrific on Eurodam and it is in Pinnacle Bar...... I think it's also at 7:15 P.M.

Thanks, Sail. Do you happen to know which evenings those would be held?

Welcome Party is the first night you board and Farewell is the last night aboard. ;)

the farewell parties aren't on all ships -- for example -- we did have one on the nieuw amsterdam but nothing on the ryndam
it is up to the captain / hotel manager if they want one
pinnaclr grill oprns at 7:30 on port days and 8 on sea days -- check your explorer -- daily program -- the pinnacle won't be listed but it follows the same time as the main dining room

Farewell parties really do depend on the captain and the HM - we were on the Nieuw Amsterdam and didn't have one

there's proof that things change -- kazu also sailed on the nieuw amsterdam -- different time than we did -- and no farewell party
just goes to show that things can change

I don't think eurodam had a suite farewell party in November. Don't get too excited about the welcome party. Champagne and appetizers--the staff lines up and you get to shake hands. It is crowded. I sort of feel for them that they have to do this every week.

More cruises than not, we have not had a Suite Farewell Party. We had a few here and there on Maasdam and then none. We didn't have one on Westerdam but did every cruise on Eurodam.
I wonder if there will be a Suite Farewell on our upcoming Noordam cruise.
I'll post here yes or no. ;)

Our concierge on Westerdam told us there would be no suite farewell parties or suite luncheons on 7-day cruises. She did not indicate that this was limited to Westerdam, but rather implied it was fleet-wide.
Our welcome party was in the Crow's Nest.

Thanks to all for great information. I fondly recall a sensational suite luncheon/party on the Oosterdam on a 7 day to Alaska. Memorable......I still daydream about it. Seems that every HAL ship does things a little differently.

We've had suite welcome aboard cocktail parties on all of our cruises. We haven't always had suite luncheons though the last one on the Volendam was quite nice. I don't recall ever having a suite farewell gathering of any kind. With one exception of a cruise on the Oosterdam we always cruise R and S class ships so maybe they have a different routine.
