When you do a B2B, and you get a thermal suite pass, laundry package, etc., do you buy them for both segments at the beginning or must you buy them on the first day and again when the second segment starts? (I know at least some things can be purchased in advance, but I'm asking about how it works if you wait 'til you get on board.)

You can purchase the laundry package, internet time and probably the thermal suite for the whole B2B if the B2B is sold as a single cruise. If not, I'm not sure.

We found for the laundry we had to purchase twice because our first time was 2 separate cruises and not sold together. The second time we were able to purchase for 2 legs because it was one booking.

some things you can buy for the entire back-to-back cruise if you have ne booking number

the only thing that i know of that you can't buy for both cruises is the hrdro pool and thermal passes

also the on the first segment -- once on the ship -- you can not buy dinners at the specialty restaurants for the second segment until that segment begins

Thank you for the info! My next cruise is a B2B booked as a single cruise.

thanks everyone as we have not done a b2b and are looking at one for our "I'm outta here' (as in the snow) cruise next year. I've often envied the people who were staying on as I got off and I think it would be nice if the shoe was on the other foot for a change. ;) great info - thanks:)

Actually, secretly, that is one of the little things I'm looking forward to!;)

DS-the-Younger (DS-Y) chose this cruise to celebrate his 40th birthday next year (I don't know how he could possibly be middle-aged - that would make me... oh, nevermind!). He actually wanted to do the Panama Canal Secret Civilizations but that seems to be offered only in odd-numbered years. So he chose the Alaska 14-day trip for his birthday, planning to do Secret Civilizations later - but his brother (DS-the-Elder, or DS-E) didn't want to go where it's cold. DS-Y wanted the family together more than he wanted to see Alaska (at this time - he and I will take an Alaskan cruise at another time) so he chose the B2B PC from Ft. Lauderdale - his brother will join us in San Diego.

we have done about 30 of them on various cruise lines -- in fact our first cruises were a back-to-back.

many of them are now listed as a collectors cruise -- look for that on hal's site -- can save you a few dollars

we always book them about 1 - 1 1/2 years in advance so that we have the same cabin
