I was thinking of bringing a nitelight for our cabin. I didn't want anyone going bump in the night. Will there be a place to plug it in near the bathroom? Thanks

No, there won't be. You can put one IN the bathroom, but I'd suggest you have a couple of small flashlights for use in navigating the darkness.

I agree about the small flashlight(s). However, I find that I can see to get to the bathroom from the very thin line of light coming under the door to the corridor. So, I forget to take the flashlight! Big help that is, but I have always made it back (very carefully) to bed without incident.

Mom and dad always bring the flashlight, its a great idea.

I always travel with a flashlight. In my last inside cabin, I brought a nite lite and plugged it into the plug at the desk/dressing table. It was great and gave just enough light in the night.

What about leaving the bathroom light on and then leave the door open just enough to give you as much light as you want or need?
But it's still a good idea to always bring a flashlight in case of a power failure.

If you leave the light on and the bathroom door open, the movement of the ship will close it. A flashlight and/or a nite light would be better.

...and open it
and close it
and open it
and....

The chemistry teacher in me always goes for the "safety" aspect --
always travel with a flash light -- even in an outside cabin
If there is a power failure you will need it to navigate. In an inside cabin it should be in the bedside table so if the lights go out you do not harm yourself just looking for the damn flashlight!

I keep a little flashlight that holds 2 - AA batteries on my night stand at home. I take it on cruises every time. I've also been known to take a regular (2 D size) flashlight too, but I haven't ever used it. A small night-lite plugged in on the vanity might be good. Like someone else said, the light that comes in under the door is very sufficient. Once the lights are out and your eyes adjust, the light under the door is plenty. On one ship, the life boat drill instructions were on the back of the door on a "glow in the dark" chart. That was helpful too.

We usually bring a power strip with us and then plug in a small nite lite. It works well and we have the power strip to use if we need to plug anything else in.
