I know you can't wear jeans in the dinning room. But what about a long blue jean skirt? Is this frowned upon.

Depends on the ship and what you are wearing with it.

I think if you dress it up it would be OK for a casual night.

We will be on Celebrity's Mercury. I was going to wear a white blouse. I also have a black blazer if I need to wear it also.
Thanks, :) Kat

That would be cute! As for appropriateness, you'd have to ask the veterans about what they've seen.

You're fine with a denim skirt... I never go on a cruise without one! It's one of those things that you can use more than once and save on packing!

Hi Katricia,
We are on the Mercury with you. Welcome.
I wore a denim skirt (calf length) on an Alaska cruise on Princess. No problem at all.
Maybe I'll bring mine and we can both feel comfortable.
See you in March.

Hi:)

I guess that is what makes us all different people. I never go on a cruise with one.
My denim stays home. Jeans, skirts, whatever the item. I have other clothing I much prefer to bring with me. Casual evenings I like to do casual to dressy.
But that is just me. For a casual outfit I would wear a pair of brick colored silk slacks with a black knit top. (fine knit~not heavy).
I was on Mercury last March and had a fantastic time.
She is a lovely ship.
Enjoy your cruise:)
