Loved it!

I see you found Horton Plaza to shop.

Loved the little smiley laughing on his side as your DH is ready to leave for lifeboat drill.

Ahnalira : I'm so glad you took this cruise as I very much look forward to your photo updates. They are always so interesting. Hopefully you had the chance to meet Mr. James Deering (hotel manager) as I'm sure that you would have found him very interesting ! . . . .

Ahnalira, I always enjoy you Photos of the food, you do such a great job with that. We too were on the Oosterdam for Alaska last May and are looking forward to cruising her again this coming October doing the Mexican Riviera. Were you on the same week with Revneal? Feb 5th thru the 12th? If so I have pictures of the Oosterdam sailing away while I was in San Diego.

Loved the food photo's. Something tells me that those sugar free desserts are as good as the regular. My Dad is a diabetic, and I think I will join him with the sugar free.;)

Could you tell me if the pirate boat in your photo is the whale watching boat?

Can't wait for the next chapter! We're cruising on Oosterdam the end of March so we are really enjoying all your info - and the pictures are just wonderful. My DH wants to know what kind of camera you were using?? Thanks a bunch.

We were on the Oosterdam with you for the well-being cruise to Alaska, but could not make the trip to Mexico. Thanks for your wonderful review, to make us feel like we were right there! Shari

I believe the pirate ship is the whale watching ship... or one of them;) We could see one (not the one docked) way off in the distance while we were out. For some reason, it didn't come play with our "pod":p

I use an Olympus 50/60 camera (it is a really good camera, I think)... and Photoshop:p

That's the "not as good" whale watching pirate ship whose name I don't remember. Not the Sunderland....

Oh great relief! I was beginning to second guess your recommendation.

Do you think we should wear tennis shoes for the Sunderland excursion? I would think we need a little traction.

Thank you for the wonderful review. We've seen the dolphins surrounding our ship in Mexican waters, too, and also don't have any pictures...just in our mind. Didn't want to leave to get our camera and miss the beauty of it!!!

Thanks so much. Did the seas cooperate on your sailing - meaning any rough days or nights? I have read reports that the seas are typically rough sailing out and in of San Diego.....how were the temps day to day

Thanks

The seas were calm, but the temps near San Diego were chilly (60's) and - on the last sea day - rainy. It got warmer and warmer the further south we went... In Puerta Vallarta (mid 80's), I actually got a bit of a sun burn, and I'm from sunny central Florida:p

I really enjoyed your pictures of the food served in the dining room. I can hardly wait to try them myself in 19 days on the Zaandam.

Thanks for the great review.
