One of my favorite meals on the HAL cruise is the Dutch Lunch. However, I almost always seem to miss it because I have a shore excursion planned on the day they serve it. This cruise I want to try and schedule around it. Does anyone know if they usually schedule it on the same day each cruise. I am sailing on the Zaandam.

I am definitely interested in the Dutch cookie called
stroopenwafel.

I am not sure about the cookies. I do know that they have the wonderful little pancakes which I know the name of but am afraid to try and spell.

The small pancakes are called "poffertjes". Take them with a little butter and poedersuiker. (very fine white sweetened sugar).
