Both ships follow the same itinerary. Yet the Volendam starts of at about 100 dollars cheaper than the Zuiderdam at the inside category.

I know these are two different classes of ships. What is the difference between these ships? In an ocean-view, would I really notice any difference?

I would probably be doing an ocean-view guarantee. Is one ship better to do than the other for guarantees?

Thanks.

Go with the Volendam. It's smaller but just perfect in my opinion:) And the mid-week sailing is so much better as there is less congestion at Canada Place and in the ports of call.

An OV would be fine as there is lots of deck space for when you cruise Tracy Arm and Glacier Bay.

Thanks for asking this! DH and I have been trying to make the same decision for July 2012. I thought I read that the cabins would be slightly larger on the Zuiderdam, but apparently that's not the case?

I think they were about even otherwise. You will be happy no matter what.
