I assume the exercise equipment is "free" but is there a sauna/whirlpool available, or is that reserved for the "thermal suites"? ...and exactly what do you get with a thermal suite?

I'm wondering the same thing.

The assumption is correct and the fitness equipment is complimentary. The sauna & whirlpool are part of the thermal suite and there is no shortage of threads on that topic including these:

On Eurodam sauna is FREE to use, it's outside of thermal suite and trust me (I'm sauna addict) it is much better that sauna in the thermal suite.

I would like to say the scale, but when I went to use it on the Maasdam last month I was told that HAL does supply the scale but not the batteries to keep it running. That's up to the spa and they hadn't replaced them.

Now that is too funny- they they die from overuse or did someone steal them so they would not know if they gained weight?

Thanks to tcook for the link to the other threads.

I bought a one day thermal suite pass recently and very much enjoyed my two longer visits to the facilities. :) For $40 I think its a good value but don't let HAL hear me say that. ;)

thanks for the replies and links to the other posts.
We go to the steam room alot at the gym at home,so I doubt this would be a big draw for us. Maybe a day pass--if they offer it.
