In looking at deck plans it appears that there is only one deck that has outside view cabins, main (1). I know some are obstructed view which would nor pertain to us. Of outside view cabins, which are the best? What is the worst case scenario for category D?

Based on what I see all of the Ds look to be pretty good. I think Cs would be considered upgrades because they are more centrally located. What about DDs? Why the double letters?

Since balconies were 1000 dollars more I did not even think of booking one of those. But since there are way more balconies than oceanviews, what are the chances of a balcony upgrade? And don't worry. If I don't get upgraded, I'll still be quite happy. A D cabin appears to be much nicer than what I had on carnival as an outside view.

Thanks.

I don't think any of the Main Deck OVs are obstructed...........those are on the upper Promenade Deck, behind the life boats. I think you'd be pretty safe with Cs and Ds, except possibly for a few Ds on the port side toward the stern that appear to be under the kitchen, which might be noisy.......not sure if any of the port side forward Ds are under the Northern Lights? That might be a bit noisy 'til about 1 am.
