We're heading to Norway to do what is often called 'the most beautiful voyage in the world' on the Hurtigruten ship Trollfjord. The trip takes 6 days to travel all the way up the coast from Bergen to Kikenes in the north (next to the Russian border) and then 6 days back again. It is a working ship and car ferry too, which has 34 stops going north and the same on the return to Bergen. Some last only 15 minutes whereas in larger towns we will have between 3 - 6 hours to explore. The ports where we stop during the day on the way north will be during the night on the way back and viceversa.

As so much of our time will be spent north of the Arctic Circle we are hoping there is a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights which would be amazing. It will be very different to our usual cruises - no entertainment or pool and set dinner with no menus!
