Does HAL schedule a Seder for Passover?

I don't know about that, but I do know their Website informs you they do not have a kosher kitchen. They state that all kosher meals are made before hand, frozen, and reheated on board.

A couple of years ago the Noordam Atlantic crossing had a Seder Dinner in the Lido set up.
There was also a Rabbi onboard.

Thanks. I guess I'll email HAL and see if they are going to offer a Seder dinner on their other cruises as well.

We will be on the Carnival Elation for the beginning of Pesach/Passover this year. Does Carnival ever offer a sedar?

Well..it's my wedding anniversary (1 year!), so I thought I'd celebrate by putting up my wedding pic. :)

We were sailing once during Pesach but it was a couple ofdays after the Seder. Carnival did offer brisket, turkey and chicken soup and called it a "holiday" dinner. Initially, I felt "guilty" about cruising during the holiday but once the anchor was lifted from the dock those feelings disapated.

I don't know about Passover, but we were on last month, and they served Matzo in the Lido. I love it, I sat down with promise margarine and was loving it!

I DO know that HAL tries to have a Jewish Rabbi on Board During the High Holy Days of the Jewish religion. I would assume they have a Sedar meal.
Passover is the HOLIEST of Times for people of the Jewish Faith.

Actually, the High Holidays, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, are the most important of all Jewish Holidays and the only holidays that are purely religious, as they are not related to any historical or natural event.
Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is celebrated the first and second days of Tishri. It is a time of family gatherings, special meals and sweet tasting foods.
Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is the most solemn day of the Jewish year and is observed on the tenth day of Tishri. It is a day of fasting, reflection and prayers.
And thus concludes your Jewish factoid of the day. :)

Thanks Iggipolka for filling in the "blanks" on the Jewish holidays. Passover, though not as important as Rosh Hashana or Yom Kippur, is still one of the four most important holidays, with the very little know Shavuout as the fourth.

This was HAL's email response to my asking if a Seder dinner was avaliable during Passover.
"Thank you for your recent correspondence with Holland America Line.
A Seder dinner is offered the first night of Passover. This year it
will be on 4/24/05, and will held in a separate location than the dining
room. It is a dinner and religious ceremony combined. There will be a
rabbi on board for Passover. Please note for your remaining meals,
you must advise us if you would like Kosher meals. The special Seder
dinner will also have to be requested at the time you make your booking
or shortly after."
