When on the HAL website last night I went to purchase drink cards and cabin credit for our August 24 Alaska cruise. The website asked me if I wanted delivery in port or at sea...what do I anaswer?

I vaguely recall a thread about this months ago and one was considered tax free. Am I recalling this properly?

Also, does anyone know if we purchase credit to the cabin if this will be taken into account in the amount they put on our credit card upon embarkation? Or would it mean that they just don't charge us at the end of the cruise the full $11/day/person and only charge the difference between the cabin credit remaining and the "tip/charge" (I know it is not a tip but I can't remember what else to call it)?

No it will not effect the amount Hal puts a hold on for the Hotel Service Charge, you are correct that any adjustment to your account due to left over OBC will be made at the end of your cruise.

We purchased two drink cards and did not use them all up. We were credited on our final bill for the left over monies on the card.:)

Thanks very much both of you; exactly what I wanted to know.
