I know you are not supposed to but....let's be honest, has anyone brought their own martini makings on board in their luggage?:D

Please, please, please ... let's NOT contribute to yet another smuggling thread.
No offence intended, beachluvr, but this topic has been done to death on this forum, and has almost been the virtual death of many as it escalates into polarized vitriol.
And then the thread goes 'poof' and we all go back to some semblance of conviviality and tolerance. :D

Nope ... we prefer the ambiance of the well-crafted ones in Ocean Bar or Crows Nest with accompanying music and my DW looking her best as usual. Only wish they would upgrade their terrible olives. We have thought about bringing them onboard to upgrade their great martinis to the fantastic level.

Why would I attempt to smuggle liquor onto a ship when the line is more than generous about allowing wine, soda and water to be brought on board?
The bars serve generous drinks at very reasonable prices!

Not going to contribute to the thread (it's been done to death), but just wanted to say "hello" to you, Linda!

Not going to contribute to the thread ....but just wanted to say "hello" to you, Linda! Sheila, a warm hello back and I hope we cruise together again. But darn it, by posting I've bumped this up to the top ... worth it though to be able to wave hello to you.
Apologies, beachlovr. I know Sheila and I hijacked this a bit but I hope you and I meet again on a thread we both can love. :D :D

The only thing I bring on is OLIVES when we are in the Med - they are vacuum packed - so safe for the ship. In Italy, Spain, they are delectable. That's my Martinin making - the rest I get on the ship - we either order a bottle or get it from the bars. Simple. No smuggling. I just don't get why anyone would do it when HAL is so kind with other stuff:confused:

Yes, on each of our 12 cruises on Holland America. Martinis at lunch, smuggled bourbon for after dinner.
