PH2 staterooms on Regatta

We are going to sign on for the November 25 sailing to the Amazon.
We have a choice between 8001 and 8036.
Which should we chose?
Anyone else on this cruise? This will be cruise #20 but first time on Oneania.

My feeling is to choose 8001 because you have the fitness center above, rather than the pool deck above as in your other choice. We have been under pool decks before, and when they clean the deck and move the furniture around, it does make noise. Not too much noise from the fitness center!!!

I am envious of you; I'd LOVE to be on that cruise, but I can't leave my husband for such a long time and he'd never consent to go. So, be my eyes and ears and have a great time

We were in 8038 and heard no noise from the pool deck above (we slept with the sliding door closed). This room is under the ping pong table, not under the deck chairs, so this might be the difference.
