I'm taking the Westerdam on 11/13 & 11/20.
My DH is only taking the 11/13 portion. My sister will join me for the 11/20 portion.

To lock in the room - TA booked 2 reservations (one with DH and one with sis).

Is there anyway my portion can be booked as a collector's cruise for the 14 days (more FCC and stock OBC) - even tho my suitemate will change?

Is Hal offering it as a Collector's Cruise? They don't offer all the winter Caribbean 7 days combos. Our NA B2B in Dec wasn't offered as a Collector's Cruise.

our nov/dec on the nieuw amsterdam was not originally offered as a collector's cruise -- but when i noticed that it had been changed to one -- our ta called hal and we got it changed

I'm curious. Is there some significance to a "Collector's Cruise"? I just thought it was a pre-packaged B2B. Are there some additional benefits?

you get a bit of a discount by booking cruises as one collector's cruise instead of a back-to-back where you have 2 booking numbers

On the longer Collector's Cruises there will some additional benefits. Things like a cocktail party or two, a luncheon- ours was a spin off of the Mariners Lunch, but we had a different floor in the MDR, different food (Indonesian) and a couple of other things. We had a 20 day Med Collectors Cruise last summer.

Don't know if any of these occur on 2 7 day B2Bs.

on our ryndam collector's cruise -- we had a lovely cocktail party one evening

on our nieuw amsterdam cruise -- no cocktail party -- there was a lunch which they made sound like it was for only the intransit passengers -- but it was actually for everyone on the ship -- the following cruise after we left the ship -- the intransit people were given a free dinner in either the pinnacle or the tamarind

I would have your TA look into it...
...but my guess is that since you're going to have two different people w/ you on two different cruises, the line is going to consider that two different bookings w/ two different booking numbers.

...you could see if the "3rd person free" fare is available for the Collector's Voyage - then book both your husband and Sis w/ you for the entire trip on the single booking number.

I don't know if it would work or if it would even be worthwile for the extra $50 or $100 tho...

Just discovered our B2B is being offered as a Collectors Voyage now- wasn't when we booked it- so on hold with the TA right now.

On some, not all, Collector's Cruises, they do a luncheon for those who are staying. There is a small discount and sometimes some small activity on board.

Of course, the best part is you get to stay for a second cruise. :)

Please let us know if they let you book your reservation as a Collector.

I believe, but not sure, that our discount on the Noordam Collectors cruise last Nov. was 10% less than the two cruises booked individually..

Cheers...:)Betty

They did give me a break on pricing to equal the combined price.
We're not sure how they'll handle the stock credit... Which I will deal with when we make final payment and get it applied.

On our 20 day collectors cruise we received one stock credit of $250...
