Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, FL

Has anyone stayed here? How far is it from the port - is it worth staying at - we are staying one night pre cruise and one night post cruise and we are thinking of spending one of those nights there (maybe after the cruise since our flight isn't until 5pm).

Did you like the hotel? Is the pool nice? It appears that there is an area with shops, restaurants and entertainment right at the hotel.

I just haven't seen anyone actually stay there.

Its 12 minutes from the port. Its gourgeous, brand spanking new, beautiful lagoon pool with tiki bar, great shops and restaurants, fantastic entertainment. A truly wonderful way to start your cruise vacation. ;)

We'd also like to stay here pre-cruise on 1/1/06. Rooms are not yet available for booking online. I'd also be interested in rates & whether I need one or two rooms (DH & I plus 2 sons (20 & 15). Thanks.
