I used Luggage Express/Virtual Bellhop to ship my luggage home from Ft. Lauderdale after my Crystal cruise from Africa. They proceded to lose one of my three bags and they cannot locate it. All they had when they picked up my bags were my three bags and four boxes. What I cannot understand is how they could lose one of the three pieces when they were taken all together. So, please beware of this company. Even though I used them twice before with no problems, I am not completely soured on their "service". BTW, unless you pay a whole lot more, they will only give you a maximum of $1000 for loss. I had three very expensive suits and one very expensive formal in the Tumi suitcase, so their compensation will barely cover the cost of replacing the luggage.

Claim the balance on your homeowners or travel insurance policy.

How did they pick up and ship your luggage? We have always used them (Virtual bellhop/Luggage Express) with very good luck. FedEx picks up and issues tags with tracking numbers on the spot, so we have always known exactly where items are, even when they've gotten separated. As we were planning to use them again, this is definitely of concern.

LE/VB had Fed Ex pick up my bags at my home and they shipped them to the hotel in Cape Town in South Africa. When the cruise was over in Ft. Lauderdale, an agent from LE/VB was at the dock and they put the bags on a large wheeled cart and took them to their truck. Fed Ex picked up the bags at their offices in Boca Raton and brought them to my home, minus one bag. I called Fed Ex and they checked their records and found only two bags were picked up by their driver at the LE/VB office.
