What night should we choose for the Pinnacle? We probably don't want to do it on the first night or a formal night, so that leaves 4 more nights to pick from.

You can make the reservation in advance and change it once on board - it is very easy. We usually look at the menu early in the day and then decide.

Thank you! Still wish I had an idea of which night. On RCCL, we went on Caribbean night because the jerk chicken was not too appealing. Someone mention that surf and turf might be a good night. What do y'all think?

Surf and Turf is usually the last Formal Night, I personally would never miss that. I would go Wednesday when you are in Puerto Vallarta late unless you have plans in town for Puerto Vallarta. Sunday and Thursday are you 2 Formal nights. I usually like to be in the Dining Room the first night but DH has talked me into going to the Pinnacle 2 times for the Westerdam so we are going the first night and Friday night for us which is our late port and will probably be the BBQ night. We would prefer the Pinnacle then. But you Monday or Tuesday night might not be a bad night to go either. What ever you choose I am sure you will enjoy.:)

Thank you, thank you! I will check with the Pinnacle when we arrive and see if they have the menu for Wednesday night. Will also check Monday and Tuesday.

When we were on the O last June, the Pinnacle was sold out every night and we didn't get to eat there so I would suggest making reservations as early as possible.

It will be our first stop or as soon as it opens for reservations on Saturday. We plan to board as soon as 11:30.

We just got off the Oosterdam today. The Pinnacle was already booked on sea days by 5pm on embarkation day so you'd be smart to reserve in advance. We made advance reservations through the 800#. We ate there 4 nights: Sunday (formal night) Monday (Cabo-Valentine's Day), Tuesday (Mazatlan) and Thursday (formal night). All I can say, is the food is better than any night in the dining room. You can not pick a wrong night to go. Mike, the manager, runs a superb restaurant in every way. It is worth every penny.

LAFFNVEGAS,
Thank you for posting the ship services phone # and for recommending the Wed. night for the Pinnacle. We are cruising Oct. 22nd on the Oosterdam to Mexico and that Wed. night just happens to be our 20th wedding anniversary. It will make a memorable day even more special!!!!!:)

I actually do vote for the first night ... it is "2 for 1" pricing. I don't think you'll miss too much on the first night in the dining room and you can always meet your tablemates the second evening ...

No, it's always the same.

Is there generally a problem getting a reservation to the Grill on short notice or should I reserve now. This will be my first cruise.

It's always better to reserve early. Sometimes you can still get in with same-day reservations, but I wouldn't count on it.

Meaning...DH and I pay for one person, not two?
The first night in the dining room is always special to us because it is exciting to meet your waiter and see everyone else excited about the start of the cruise. We will be with all our tablemates anyway (I hope) and this cruise will be one couples first, so I know they would like to go to the dining room.
