Today both the STATENDAM and OOSTERDAM are docked in San Diego. It is not very often you will see two HAL ships in San Diego at the same time.

Yeah, we went down there this am to see them. It is funny--while we were driving back from the store, you couldn't see the Statendam behind the O. My husband calls the Statendam and Ryndam "matchbox series" ships. We have been on both and they are both terrific. When we leave for our Sea of Cortez cruise on 3/6/05, both the Ryndam and Statendam will be in port.

Watching them set sail right now. It is SO pretty with the sunset. Really makes me wish I were down there -- or better yet, just on board!

I noticed the sun had come out as well. I'm glad and hope for sunshine next week. :)
Did the ship get away a little late today?

I heard their horns blowing between 4 and 5--boat drill and then the three toots when they leave. Seems like they were leaving on time.
