I got a Mariner email last week promoting a special on B2B's in Alaska on both the Veendam & the Ryndam for late August/Early Sept. I tossed the note but I'm now thinking about it again. Does anyone have the promo code handy?

Didn't get that e-mail - could it be that the offer was for only certain states. A couple of weeks some of us got offers and the offers were for only some states.
We did the Ryndam back-to-back Alaskan cruise in 2003 - loved it.

That could be, I didn't look too closely at the time...

Promotion #1025 can also be booked through a Travel Agent, not just through Holland America. I booked the May 22nd Veendam departure through
an online agency that offers both "call in prices" and "online prices." This has to be booked on a call in basis but the savings bumped me up from an MM to an M for starters. This probably is not the best way for first timers to start out as it is better to combine a tour or some independent travel with a Southbound cruise for your first time, preferably after June 1st when Denali has thawed out some. But for those of us who have already done that and just want to relax and enjoy the scenery and pursue independent interests in the ports at one'e own pace, this sounds great. I am really looking forward to it. Late May is actually quite a pleasant time to be sailing up there. Glacier Bay and College Fjord are not that chilly once the Sun is up.
