On the Maasdam, mini-fridges are standard in verandah cabins and suites only. If you require one, you may contact HAL and request one ... I think the fee, added to your onboard account, is something like $2/day.

And the "frigette" that I had rented for my interior stateroom onboard the Maasdam on my recent 14-Day Southern Caribbean cruise was as cool/cold as my large 'frig at home! In fact, it froze a bottle of water that I had placed inside it & the thermostat had not even been turned up to the maximum setting! :) As an aside, request that the "frigette" be placed on the counter of the vanity, in the space beneath the television, (rather than on the floor under the vanity in the space where the stool is located)! ;) It was nice to be able to access the "frigette" on the counter rather than having to bend over to access it! ;)

that's good to know that the refrigerators that you can rent are colder than the ones supplied in the cabins - especialy on the newer ships -- i think does don't get items as cold as those on the older ships

WOW, I'm glad I saw this post. My upcoming trip is my first on HAL and it never occurred to me that there wouldn't be a mini frig in our lanai stateroom. I looked it up and there are none in the interior, window or lanai staterooms.

Let's be clear here, presence of a mini-fridge varies based on class of ship.

All the Vista and Signature ships, as well as the Prinsendam, have a fridge in every cabin.
It is the S- and R-class ships that only have a fridge in the balcony cabins. Inside and outside (including Lanai) cabins can rent them.

i see by your signature that you will be sailing on the veendam -- right?

that does mean that you will not have a mini refrigerator in your lanai cabin

if you want one -- you need to call ship services to rent one
