We are going on the RYNDAM this APRIL to MEXICO and was wondering has anyone ever do the"COLIMA and COMALA with lunch" tour?

How was the lunch you got and what kind of lunch is it, i guess i worry a little about eating food in MEXICO ?

Was the tour worth $69?

thank you

The Ryndam visited Manzanillo on her Oct 20, 2004 cruise and doesn't go there again until her Feb 24th cruise.

I tried to hunt back through all the threads to find if anyone talked about Manzanillo - no luck.

We are also interested in a couple of tours there even though we don't do that cruise until November.

I hope someone reports in after the Feb 24th cruise.

The 2/24 Ryndam cruise does not go to Manzanillo, it goes to the Sea of Cortez. We went on the Comala/Colima excursions several years ago on RCI, but the shore excursions are all basically the same. It was really interesting to see how the people of Mexico live in the small villages. There is a square in each of the towns and I forget which one we had lunch in, but the entire block was covered and there was a string of cafes. All the locals were also out having lunch. We had botanos which are "small plates" but you get plenty to eat. Kind of the Mexican version of Tapas. There is nothing much in Manzanillo so I would highly recommend this excursion.
