The Next to the Last Web Cam Wave of the Season will be today on the Oosterdam

Good Morning HAL CCers, sadly the Mexican Riviera season is winding down but today and next Saturday we have a bunch of great CCers that are excited to cruise the Beautiful MS Oosterdam.

Both of these Saturdays have Oosterdam regulars that are returning and looking forward to the Web Cam Banner Wave once again.

Today will be a good friend of mine Kryse that goes by Buckett, she is brining her 7 yr old niece for her very first cruise and as of last night the niece had no idea she was going on a cruise today;) She also has a fun group of CCer's this week so it should be a great web cam wave as long as the web cam does not go down on us.

Deck 4 crew area is wide open not deck 5 and they are waiting for someone to open the door :o

Well, I think the outside hatch door to 5 may have been open for about 5 minutes and because no one showed up they locked it up. Everyone from the Roll Call showed up about 5 minutes till three. Some have left already but they are going to try to do it from the Bow even though that is for crew only.

They look good out there on the Bow:) These 5 or is that 6 will definitely have something to crow about!! The niece will definitely have a story to tell when she gets back to school:)

but the group decided to head down to deck 4 bow. The only problem with doing a wave from the bow is you absolutely cannot see people waving especially when people have on short sleeves. The skin colors blends into the color of the bow deck :o That is another reason why it works so well to do it from up on deck 5 with the white back ground.

Then this is the wave :D Yes there arms are in the air but against the bow deck it cannot be seen.

Kryse's niece is is having a blast and has already been in the pool. She told her Aunt she thinks the ships is so beautiful and that she wants to live on the ship :)

Melodie, for next week we will just have to remind the Hotel Manager to make sure the door is open. I think it might have been and the crew member who opened it waited a few minutes and when he did not see anyone around just locked it. Then the Roll Call showed up after the crew member left :(

Melodie, I told Douglas what you said on the Roll Call, he liked it :D

Well just one more Banner Wave for the Season, then the next time the Oosterdam returns will be Oct. 8th, then Oct.15th which will both be 7 day Mexico cruises, then Oct 22nd I will be on board myself when she heads to Hawaii.
Hopefully I can get a volunteer to get the web cam pics that day :)

Great Pic of the Banner Wave! I know they are going to have a fantastic cruise! Wish we were back with them!

Lisa, I should be back from my Zaandam trip to Hawaii (get back Oct 12), but may take detour on way home by way of Tampa to see DS and DBIL. But even if I do, I should be able to fire up the computer and do the snaps if you cannot find anyone else.
