mallorca cathedral and then beach

I am planning on going into town to see the cathedral first and the town and then head out to Playa de Palma beach. I want to take the bus. Does anyone know which bus I would take and where to catch it? Is it easy to catch a bus back into town? Which bus do you catch going back?

This is exactly our plan as well! I hope someone with experience replies! We're on the June 3 Carnival Magic!

We're on that sailing too! With the 4:00 departure, it doesn't look like we'll have a lot of time..maybe see the cathedral, walk the town, pick up something fresh at he bakery....just kinda take it all in.
