We are flying into Orlando on Thursday to join The Zaandam on Saturday. I have called Arts Transportation, but got an answerphone message.to leave my phone number and they would ring me back, which I did, but I doubt they will ring back to the UK.Can anyone supply a number that will answer with a human voice, or can we just pick up a shuttle to Cocoa beach when we arrive?Would be very grateful for any advice.

Hello lou

We are saling the Zaandam the week after you. We are also arriving a day prior to the cruise.

We made plans to rent a car from Avis at the airport for our free time. This allows us to drive to Cocoa Beach and get around the area. Avis also has a drop off office near the pier and will shuttle the driver to the ship. The rental rates were pretty reasonble but we did use a AAA (American Automobile Association) discount. There may be others you qualify for?

Post cruise we will be using Art's to get back to the airport. A few weeks ago I called Art's Shuttle and Judy answered the phone directly. She was wonderful in assisting with our plans. Perhaps you phoned at an off time?

Good luck with your plans!

We have done the Zaandam from Port Canaveral a couple of times -- we usually fly in the day before and stay at an airport hotel (breakfast included) that will pick us up and return us to the airport free of charge. We pick up the HAL shuttle early on the day of sailing and maximize our time on board.

We are going again on March 26-- this time we will arrive relatively early the day before and thought we would rent a car for the day -- waited too long to decide to cruise and are unable to find a car that we can pick up in Orlando and return near the port with transport to the Port -- not that the car companies do not do that but Easter weekend is well booked in advance -- so we are back to plan #1 above
