View Full Version : Evening shore excursions in Oslo and Bruges?

We will be in Oslo overnight and in Bruges until midnight on our North Seas cruise this summer. In both places there are no HAL shore excursions offered in the evenings. :confused: Is it likely that any will be added?

Either way, we would obviously like to enjoy both of these cities in the evenings we are there. Does anyone have any recommendations on restaurants and/or night time activities in Oslo and Bruges?

Not the typical tourist spots because we will obviously be seeing those in the daytime hours: ie - We will be purchasing a 24 hour Oslo Card and know to go to the Bygdoy (sp.?) museums, the Opera House, the sculpture park, etc.

In Bruges we are sharing a taxi into the city center and I've booked a two hour Segway Tour and we will definitely do a canal tour there as well.

So any advice on night time spots? :)

And when we overnight in Oslo, is there any time restriction on when we must reboard the Eurodam?

Although I've never overnighted in Oslo, I have been on the ship overnight in several ports. My experience is that you can come and go as you like, so long as you're back by the "all aboard" time.
The gangway does not close down, unless it's to change to another deck.

Same as always---1/2 hour before sailaway.

We are on your cruise and I have a friend who is from Bruges and I will be getting a list of restaurants from her when I see her in June. Will be glad to share with you.
