Finally, something a bit more positive

Got our docs yesterday and very happy to jump for joy at the sight of the Fedex guy

I'll post once onboard and have secured a dinner res...:-)

Can't wait

Congratulations. I have been known to almost attack (in a loving way) the Fed Ex man delivering docs. They are probably scared of me now.

Rachel and Wendy -

Thanks. Is there a definitive packing list for this cruise?

Tina

A fleece with a rain jacket that you can layer over it. A hat or cap. Gloves (mine are also a light fleece). Think multiple layers. Good walking shoes.

Thanks. I was wondering if they provide raingear on the rafting excursion

On the rafting excursion we did in Alaska last year, in addition to life jackets, we had to wear those big, heavy rubber yellow pants (think they had suspenders) and top. We all looked quite funny in those outfits. There was no possible was of getting wet -- except in your face.

Tina, I am gathering advice on this too, so I will bow to those who have been. Try searching over on the Alaska board; there's at least one good clothing thread there.

I have to say this on every Alaska thread I post on. . . . . plan on purchasing one of the Alaska logo reversible jackets or jacket type sweatshirts in Ketchikan or Juneau. They are around $20 and are warm and some are rainproof (good to layer on top of other clothing). IMO, you could not find a jacket of this quality for this price at home:)
