If anyone has booked through Expedia, and got the two-bottles of wine, soda cards, and the pinnical dinner - did info come with your cruise documents...or, did they have all of this recorded when you got to the ship and checked it.

Thanks!

Toy and Gregg,

We booked the Oosterdam Mexican Riviera for 3/5 (I am SO excited...can't wait!!) oh...yes...back to the subject at hand....we booked thru Expedia and received 2 passes to the Pinnacle Grill, 2 soda cards and 2 bottles of wine. Expedia told me all of these things would be waiting for us in our cabin. I sure hope this is true because no proof of the deal came in my documents or in my online receipt. Do you have any 'proof'?

We too got the package from Expedia and they told us it would be in our documents. When we got our documents last week from the cruise lines there was nothing in it saying anything about the freebies. I called Holland America and they verified that yes it was noted on our records that we would receive the wine, soda cards and dinner for 2. Happy sailing!

I used Expedia for a Princess cruise in January. A certificate for a bottle of wine as well as soda cards were in our room when we arrived. I assume the same thing will happen on a Holland America sailing.

I looked at this site too, but found a better price which was much lower than the wine, dinner and soda cards

....and got the same deal. We cruise on the Zaandam, April 2nd.
My question is, how does the wine deal work....do they give you a bottle on request or do you have to order it at dinner? We would love to have it in the room and drink it while relaxing on the veranda.

Another somewhat related question....can you use the soda cards with room service? Or are they only good when presented at the lounges/bars/etc.? What about the casino?

Don't get me started...so many questions! :)

I was curious about the package also and called Holland and they said it was included in our package.

We booked Feb. Zui cruise through Expedia. I e-mailed Holland America prior to departure and they verified the perks would be there. When arriving to our cabin there were two cards for me to sign and take to the front desk. Two Coca-Cola stickers were on one of the cards:which we stuck on our room key/charge card as instructed. There were 3 bottles of Merlot sitting on the desk in the room. I don't care for Merlot and asked at the front desk about an exchange when I turned in my cards for the soda card and dinners. I just exchanged them at dinner one night with our wine steward. Also the Pinnacle Grill charge showed up on our bill on the final night of the cruise but I went to the front desk about it and it was taken off on the final bill. We just showed the soda sticker to the bar tender when we ordered a soda and they handed us a soda drink and no ticket to sign.
