I haven't found any information from HAL about which pier our cruise ship (in my case, the Westerdam) leaves from in Seattle. Does anyone know?

Gratefully, thanks in advance...

Pier 91 is the answer. Have a wonderful trip - Alaska is just an awesome experience - those majestic mountains and glaciers, the varied and plentiful wildlife, and the beauty that surrounds you is overwhelming. Enjoy! You'll be back;)!

HAL and Princess both leave from Pier 91. It's located at the edge of the downtown area and further away from most of the hotels. I'd recommend a car service or a taxi to get there.

When you get your Express Docs, they do include directions to the pier. We're driving up from Portland the day before. There are quite a few hotels that have Stay, Park & Cruise packages, and most offer at least one-way transport to the pier. We found one that has round-trip transport. The price was low enough that it's a cost I'm willing to pay to save myself the stress of driving up the day of the cruise.

Sandi, I'll be on the Westerdam the day before! Can you share which hotel you decided on? I was going to take the train up, but I'm meeting my mom at SeaTac and getting her to Seattle (and then back to SeaTac after the trip) will be a little complicated without a car...

It's not fancy, but we're staying at the EconoLodge in Renton. We've got 4 people, bringing 2 cars, so trying to keep together in downtown wouldn't work out too well. The hotel offers round-trip transport to Pier 91. If it had just been one car, we'd be staying closer to the Seattle Center - sneak in a trip up the Space Needle while we're there.

We'd looked at taking the train, but they got in later than my comfort zone would allow. From what I've heard, it's pretty easy to get from SeaTac to the pier.

Enjoy your cruise - we're busy counting down until we depart. You'll be getting ready to sail as we get into town.

The pier is quite nice. The old one was in a very industrial part of the town. This one is much nicer. With two ships in it can be a mess to get out of but on the whole I like it much better than the original pier.
