How come aft S cat. 4180 and 4185 staterooms can only accomodate 2 people?

We have booked S before on the sides and they all have a sofa bed. We need a room to accomodate 3 people and currently no staterooms for 3 left on the 3/26 Zuiderdam.

Is it really possible that not all S cat. have a sofa in them?

Could this possble be a mistake?

Thanks,

Joni

Joni--

Wondering who misinformed you?

HAL shows sofa-beds on their deckplans...

From the cabins I have been on HAL, they have all had sofa's in them, just some don't make up into beds. Just because there is a sofa in your cabin, doesn't mean they make up into a bed. That's one thing that you run into when you book so close to the sailing date, being disappointed in your choice in cabins. Hope things work out for you.

Hope everything works out for you.

On our January cruise on the Westerdam there was a couple who had booked an aft suite and had been assured by HAL that it would accommondate 4 - couple with 2 children. While we wer all nibbling in the Neptune Lounge, they came back after checking out their cabin and were very upset - it could only sleep 3 - they put a cot in the cabin and walking conditions were (from what they told us) were terrible - they could barely move around the suite - big balcony - small cabin.

I see where you think that those 2 Suites only accomodate 2 persons.

In looking at the brochure you will see it says "All S suites have King size bed and a sofa bed that accomodates 2 persons, except Aft Suites". In other words the sofa in those aft suites only sleeps 1 person.

We had one of in our SS cabin and my daughter said it was very comfortable. Somehow the back "flips" down to make the bed. She thought it was great.

You will be fine with three persons in either of those cabins.

We had an aft suite (41something) on the Zuiderdam. Esme is right, the sofa bed sleeps one, not two like the other S suites. The suite is a little smaller, but the balcony is huge. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for all the replys, but we have not booked yet because all the sites including www.hollandamerican.com says these 2 Suites will only accomodate 2 people. I am fairly familiar w/ HAL and the category S suites and have never heard of one that only will accomodate 2 people. According to what everyone has said the aft Suites should be able to accomodate 3 people.
