Giving celebration serious thought....

My Husband and I are considering taking our 16 year daughter and a friend of hers on a long weekend, August 5 - 9th. I am of the mind that everyone has an opinion, I am able to try anything once. So, for the price, I am okay with a "less than perfect" cruise, but would like to know if there has been any current cruisers that really think this may not be the best idea. So, are there any honest reviews out there? ;) Once we get to Freeport, we will be staying at the Lucaya resort, which I have been before and must say it is perfect!

I am booked on this cruise for June but I have seen the ship up close. And my friend just came back from this cruise. She has been on many cruises and she was prepared that this was not a RCL or Carnival cruise. With that said, for the amount of money the cruise cost her, she loved it. She is a big gambler and thought the casino was very nice. The food was good. Everyone agrees that you need to upgrade to at least oceanview cabin. I am booked on a suite because I am not concerned about the amount of money. If this is your first cruise you might enjoy it but keep your expections low because this is a ferry but looks like a cruise ship on the inside. They also have activity clubs for kids of different ages. Do you have any other questions?

I have started considering this cruise as well for a quick summer getaway. We're a family of 5 so we'd have to get two separate cabins. I have read the many reviews about good food, etc. but am now wondering if anyone has pictures of can give a general idea of what foods were on the menus and buffets? Do they have room service? What is on the room service menu?

I'd love to see pictures if anyone has any. Their website doesn't have many, but I prefer to see candid photos from other people that have actually been there and seen it.

Sounds like we might get to sneak in an extra cruise this summer!
