I was saddened today to find out that Lisa's Mom has passed away after a long illness.

My deepest sympathy along with my thoughts and prayers go out to Lisa and Tom. She has always been so helpful to so many of us here.

Roger and I both want to say how sorry we are to hear of the loss of your mom. Losing anyone close to you is hard, but saying a final goodbye to a parent is even harder.

Thank you all so very much, I cannot believe what a wonderful family we are here on the HAL board. It brings tears to my eyes at how much I love all of you.

My Mom passed away at 7:30 this morning the sad part is that she had suffered for so long. She broke her hip over 2 month ago and she was sent from one hosptial to another. Between numerous things going wrong, including a staph infection and her white cell count always being too low, the final straw was placing another patient in her room that had pnemonia which my Mom got. She had been on Life Support since the 28th of April. I know she would not have wanted to suffer as long as she did but I know she is now finally without pain.

Unfortunately my Mom had not loved cruising like I have, she had done one cruise many years ago (long before we ever cruised) that was a three day cruise to Ensenada that what ever ship it was on her sailing was it's last cruise before the ship was being retired. She was not impressed so she could just never understand why we loved to cruise, she actually thought Tom and I were nuts:D But she did love to travel and it was in my growing up years that we traveled quite a bit. My parents traveled with me to Europe and Japan. And I say they went with me because I played the accordion and performed thru these travels but my parents were always there for me. My Dad passed away several years ago but Mom had also remarried many years before that. I do believe it is from my parents that I got the travel bug and give them credit for what I love to do now.
