Congrats - and you can still hope for a further upgrade. We did once, out of 8 guarantees! :)

That's a way better upgrade then I've normally rec'd with 200+ days under my belt.....never mind a further upgrade.....;).

In our case on our Nieuw Amsterdam cruise we booked an H guarantee, were given a C at 11 days out, and then moved to V midship on the Navigation deck at 3 days out. MY DBiL/DSiL also booked an H (actually we booked it for them while on another cruise), were first assigned an E and then moved to a VE. That was their first cruise ever, on any line. :)

Wished that would happen to me. I've never been upgraded to a balcony. It seems like the newbies are getting way more upgrades then the 4* mariners. I think I've got too many cruises booked with HAL and they are starting to think they've got me secured.

As a parallel, this is our first cruise, but we go to Disney EVERY YEAR. We almost never get a "pin code", despite spending thousands yearly there.
I am beginning to think that is the case with them, they think they have our money in the bank.

Congratulations. This is a very good upgrade.

I feel for the long time HAL cruisers that haven't had this benefit and yet others have.

It seems that the upgrade fairy smiles on some and ignores the rest of us - oh well, we're still all cruising

If that is mid-ship, you are very lucky indeed! Congratulations!

Inside to outside is a great upgrade. Have a lovely time in your outside view cabin.
