We booked two weeks before the cruise. They did tell our TA that we would be sent documents. Is this likely or are we more likely to have to pick them up at the pier?

If HAL told the TA you'd get them, I'd think you will indeed get them ahead of time. It may be just a few days beforehand, though.

You should get them but either way fill out your immigration forms on line. We have picked up docs at the pier before and it was not a problem. You can check online with your booking # to make sure they have your ressy. Enjoy!
