My DH and DD are traveling on the Ryndam NB to AK this summer. As it is an anniversary celebration as well as a family vacation, we splurged and booked an S-class. I think we will most likely put our daughter to bed after dinner and spend the evenings viewing from our balcony. Do we need to bring blankets or are they supplied for sitting outside? In one of the packing list threads on the AK list I saw it suggested. How about for deck viewing? As you can most likely tell, we're new to cruising.

Thanks, the folks on these boards are amazing!

In the pictures of the rooms that I've seen, there are 2 blankets on the couch.:)

Deck blankets are provided on deck and in the little cabinet between the sofa and the balcony doors of your stateroom.

Look for the plaid wooly things. If you see puffy orange things w/ long white cords, those arent it - keep looking...

If you dont find them, ask your cabin steward to bring you some :)

Thanks, everybody. I just couldn't imagine packing blankets, but really did read it on someone's packing list. I don't guess those orange puffy things with cords would keep us too warm :)
